Uploading Your Custom Theme

When you're finished developing your theme files, you'll zip them up and upload them to your instance via the Admin Console.

CAUTION:
Jive Software strongly recommends using the out-of-the-box Theming Tool whenever possible due to upgrade risks when using Soy or Freemarker themes. Alternatively, you can engage Jive Software's professional service team to help you develop a custom theme if you don't want to do it yourself. Just ask your Jive Software account representative about this service.
Fastpath: Admin Console: System > Settings > Themes
  1. Compress your custom theme files into a ZIP file.
  2. In the Admin Console, go to System > Settings > Themes and click Create New Theme.
  3. Enter a name and description for this theme, and then click Create Theme.
  4. Then Browse, select, and Upload your theme as a ZIP file. Remember that new themes are applied immediately, so we strongly recommend testing them thoroughly on a test instance before deploying them on your production instance.
Don't forget that if you upgrade your site, you'll need to upgrade your themes, too.
